First, prepare the glass:
Combine the Tajin and sugar on a small plate or saucer.

Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass.
Dip the rim of the glass into the Tajin mixture, making sure the entire rim of the glass is covered.
Set aside while you mix the cocktail.
Combine tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice and syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well.
Strain into prepared margarita glass and add ice.
Garnish with lemon and lime wedges
(and if you like a little heat, a slice of jalapeno).
